Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, the Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), together with top management staff of the agency paid a working visit to the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) in Abuja on Monday, March 19, 2018.

The meeting’s agenda was to among others, discuss ways to curtail the rising numbers of failing IT projects within Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and other government establishments in line with the Agency’s mandate and the recent Presidential Executive Order 005, and to seek for collaboration and partnership with the BPP on the way forward on NITDA’s initiative to register and license indigenous Information Technology Contractors and Service Providers.

The NITDA’s delegation which was headed by Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, (DG); includes Dr. Usman Gambo Abdullahi, Director, ITIS; Kasim Sodangi Esq., National Coordinator; Peter Ukonu, Head, Software; Salisu Kaka (AD), ITIS; Uwa Suleiman, Spokesperson; Femi Daniel, Cons/eDGR and Yusuf Abubakar, SOII.

In his remark, the DG, BPP, Mamman Ahmadu, welcomed the delegation to BPP. He commended the idea and proposed to set up a technical committee to look at the areas of collaboration with companies and consultants and to also look at how government will get value from NITDA on registration and licensing of IT for procurement of Microsoft licenses.
